3 Detective
They are each Sukesih, Sunarsih and Supati.
The three teenagers set up an investigation firm named Trio Detective. Their work investigates mysterious events, which are done in spare moments. They live in Caroline Beach, a small village on the edge of Sumatra. Located a few kilos from Jam Gadang, the name for the clock tower is located in downtown Bukittinggi, West Sumatra.
Sunarsih and Supeti live with their respective parents. While Sukesih lives with his uncle, Titus Jones, as well as her aunt, Mathilda Jones. The husband and wife owned a secondhand company, named "Jones Salvage Yard". They are known by the nicknames of Junkman. But a big junkman. Anything can be found in their place.
Among them is a home trailer, which is about ten meters long. The trailer was damaged by a collision. Titus Jones did not sell it, because no one wants to buy a broken trailer. Therefore he allowed Sukesih and her two friends to use the house on the wheel as a playground.
The Three Investigators took him away. It's made a modern headquarters, which suits the bureau of the investigation they manage. There was a small laboratory, a dark room for washing a movie, and an office complete with writing desks, typewriters, telephones, tape recorders and a number of science books. Of course knowledge that has to do with their activities. The equipment is made there by them, using the used goods.
Uncle Titus had two helpers. Their names are Hasan and Husin respectively. The two young men were brothers. They are from Pekanbaru. Both were black haired and well built. Sukesih asks them to stack the used goods around the trailer, so that it can not be seen from the outside. And after a while, the trailer has been forgotten. Who knew that the house on the wheel was still there only Detective Trio stay. And they keep it a secret. If you want to go in there, they pass a secret way.
They most often use a road called Tunnel Two. This is a long zinc pipe connecting their outer workshop with the Headquarters. Some of the pipes are underground. In addition there are also other entrances. The Three Investigators sometimes have to travel a bit further. For that available motor vehicle. Not just any motorcycle, but an astrea complete with driver. Of course the luxury motor is not theirs. Sukesih once won a contest. As a gift, he may use the bike for thirty days.
But if the distance to go is not so far, the three teens are using bicycles. Occasionally they were escorted by Hasan or Husin, riding in Uncle Titus's truck.
Sukesih people are jail and fat. His face was round like a full moon. But it was deliberate by him, because actually Sukesih very intelligent and thin-brained. And he was happy to accentuate that. Sukesih many good aspects. But humble is not included in it.
Supati is big. Her physical abilities are amazing. It is Sukesih's right hand that often tracks suspects, and performs dangerous affairs.
Sunarsih is slim. She is more suitable to do research and record tasks. Outside the busy school, she also works in the library. This enabled him to find the information the Three Investigators needed in their activities.
Bab 1. JERITAN HANTU HIJAU
Jeritan itu menyebabkan Sunarsih dan Supati kaget setengah mati. Kedua remaja itu sedang berdiri di suatu jalan masuk yang tidak terawat. Di mana-mana tumbuh rumput liar. Di depan mereka Nampak sebuah rumah tua yang tidak didiami lagi. Rumah itu besar sekali sebesar hotel. Satu sisinya sudah runtuh, diambrukkan para pekerja. Cahaya bulan yang remang-remang, membuat pemandangan saat itu seperti diselubungi kabut. Seperti dalam mimpi.
Sunarsih sedang berbicara, melukiskan pemandangan yang nampak. Suaranya direkam dengan tape recorder kecil yang tergantung di lehernya. Ia berhenti sebentar. Sambil menoleh pada Supati, ia berkata "Banyak orang beranggapan bahwa rumah ini berhantu, Supat. Sayang tidak teringat oleh kita, ketika Alfred waktu itu mencari-cari rumah hantu untuk filmny". "Ya, kurasa Mr. Alfred senang dengan rumah ini," kata Supati menyetujui. "Tapi aku tidak. Terus terang saja, makin lama aku berdiri di sini, semakin gelisah saja perasaanku. Bagaimana jika kita pergi saja sekarang?"
Tepat saat itulah terdengar bunyi jeritan yang melengking tinggi.
Datangnya dari rumah kosong itu. Bulu roma Sunarsih dan Supati berdiri mendengar jeritan yang lebih mirip suara binatang dari pada manusia itu.
"Kaudengar suara itu?" kata Supati dengan suara seperti tercekik.
"Tunggu apa lagi kita di sini? Ayo cepat lari!"
"Tunggu!" kata Sunarsih. la tetap berada di tempatnya, walau kakinya sudah ingin lari saja. Melihat Supati ragu-ragu, ia menambahkan, "Akan kusetel tape recorder ini lebih keras lagi, karena siapa tahu nanti ada bunyi lain. Sukesih pasti akan berbuat begitu."
"Yah " kata Supati, la masih ragu. Tapi Sunarsih sudah memutar tombol rekaman bunyi serta mengarahkan mikrofonnya ke rumah kosong yang nampak di antara pepohonan di depan mereka.
"Aaaaaa-aiiiiiii!" Terdengar lagi jeritan seperti yang tadi. Melengking panjang dan tinggi, lalu menurun dan lenyap lagi dengan pelan. "Yuk, kita pergi!" kata Supati mendesak. "Sudah cukup banyak yang kita dengar." Kali ini Sunarsih sependapat. Dengan cepat keduanya berpaling. Maksudnya hendak lari ke tempat sepeda mereka letakkan tadi.
Supati gesit seperti kijang. Sedangkan Sunarsih kini bisa lari lebih cepat dari sebelumnya. Beberapa tahun yang lalu kakinya pernah patah, karena jatuh di suatu lereng berbatu. Karena itu kemudian terpaksa memakai penopang. Untung saja proses penyembuhan cederanya berjalan baik. Setelah cukup lama melatih kekuatan kaki, akhirnya minggu yang baru lalu Sunarsih diberi tahu bahwa kakinya tidak memerlukan penopang lagi. Dan kini gerakannya terasa begitu enteng. la merasa seakan-akan bisa terbang.
Walau begitu, keduanya tidak bisa lari jauh-jauh, karena tahu-tahu ada beberapa lengan kekar yang menahan. Supati mendengus kaget. la menabrak seseorang yang berada di belakangnya. Sunarsih juga terhenti larinya, karena membentur seorang laki-laki yang langsung memegangnya. Ternyata tanpa mereka ketahui, ada segerombolan laki-laki datang di belakang mereka, ketika keduanya sedang terpaku mendengar suara jeritan seram tadi...............
